OCI will deliver a fully-staffed, fully-operational ammonia production facility in Beaumont, Texas to Woodside later this year. The greenfield, 1.1 million ton per year facility will be supplied with CCS hydrogen feedstock from Linde starting in 2026.
Trammo will purchase up to 100% of renewable ammonia produced by Allied Green Ammonia in the Northern Territory, Australia, with the first ammonia sales anticipated to occur in late 2028. In further news for AGA’s project, Germany-based EPC firm SPG Steiner will supply two 40,000 ton, cryogenic tanks to store ammonia production before offtake.
Together with Global Energy Storage, Stolthaven Terminals has been selected as the preferred choice to plan, design, build and operate an ammonia terminal in Pecém, Brazil. The new terminal will facilitate exports from a number of ammonia production projects planned for the area.

FID on the project’s first phase is expected in 2025, producing 400,000 tons of ammonia per year for export to Europe.

The European Commission has approved a €3 billion German scheme to support the construction of the “Hydrogen Core Network”. The 9,700 km network will act as the foundation of a long-distance, pipeline transport network for hydrogen within Germany, connecting to several EU states and the continent-wide European Hydrogen Backbone.
Fluxys and Advario have issued a call for market interest in ammonia import capacity at their new, open-access terminal at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Fluxys is also engaged in the HyBex project, a pilot commodity trading hub that will help establish a hydrogen market in Belgium. Also in Europe, the Port of Rotterdam and the Port of Shannon Foynes will collaborate to develop a green fuels corridor.
